Increasingly, the lifespan of companies is growing shorter. Many academics have tried to answer why some businesses prosper while others do not. One prevailing theory is that of long-term thinking. That is, the ability of business leaders and managers to balance short-term pressures with the need for strategic long-term plays. In this conference, we hope to address the role that PE/VC investors play in this growing movement as well as gain perspective on the state of PE/VC.
